NEST & Horizon Programs

These two classroom structures are designed to support  achievement in neurologically diverse students

ASD Horizon: This special class setting serves eight students and is taught by one special education teacher and one classroom paraprofessional

​

ASD NEST: This inclusion model for ASD students includes learning alongside general education peers. Specialized supports are provided to support academic, social, and behavioral growth

Work Based Learning

UAM students prepare in 9th and 10th grades for internal and external internships, including the Career Modern Youth Apprenticeship program

Electives

Courses like Fashion, Advanced Art, Journalism, Creative Writing, Film Studies, History through Film infuse media and student interest into the learning experience

College & Career Pathway Counseling

12th Grade students receive 1:1 College and Career Counseling to plan for their post-secondary pathway
